IYDEY Alumni

A further ten young design entrepreneurs, the 2007 finalists, will shortly join the IYDEY alumni network. The network is made up of finalists from the 2005 and 2006 awards.

In September 2008 the thirty young design entrepreneurs who then form the IYDEY alumni will be invited back to the UK to take part in the first IYDEY alumni workshop and seminar. In October 2007 we will begin the process of preparation for that event. It will be structured through a dialogue with the alumni, who will be invited to say what they want to hear about and what they want to share. The British Council will facilitate this process, inviting speakers and working with UK partners to ensure that the event is a success and consolidates the nature of the network, both across geographical boundaries and across the year groups of IYDEY.

On the final day of the event, the IYDEY 2008 finalists will be invited to join their fellow alumni and the IYDEY alumni association will be formally constituted.
