2007 Award Presenter
The IYDEY award is presented each year by a leading figure in the UK design industry. In 2005 and 2006 the award was presented by Tom Dixon, Creative Director of both 100% Design and the retail store Habitat.
The IYDEY 2007 award was presented by Thorsten van Elten.
German-born Thorsten van Elten set up his own manufacturing and retail business in 2002. After several years' experience in furniture retail and manufacture
for Christopher Farr and SCP, Thorsten had become frustrated with the lack of manufacturing support for British-based designers and recognised an expanding market
