I am got fascinated by the works of Ahadiat Joedawinata for quite sometime. From my point of view, he is among the first generation of Indonesian designer who succeeded in combining modern design with traditional sensibility. His work is combining the use of minimalist design in meditative approach. As a result, through his works we can also absorb his unique knowledge in working with stoneware clay, pinching technique with surprising form & function. I think his work is also representing an emotional approach in craft & design process, which made him, had special remarks in Indonesian craft & design scene.
