Creative FutureThe Indian Institute of Management, BangaloreOccupying a 100-acre campus located in a forest setting on the southern edge of Bangalore, the Indian Institute of Management-Bangalore was established in 1973 and is now a premier centre for management education and research. Located in India's high technology capital, IIMB is a hub of innovative activity.The Institute has world-class infrastructure that facilitates excellence in teaching, research, consulting and other professional activities. It thus consistently figures among the top business schools in India, both in domestic and international surveys. Apart from top-quality short-term executive education courses, programmes taught at the IIMB include: - The Post Graduate Programme in Software Enterprise Management (PGSEM) launched in 1998 is a management education programme designed for the specific needs of professionals working in the software and information technology industries; The Post Graduate Programme in Public Policy and Management (PGPPM) launched in 2002 is helping to hone policy-making and managerial capabilities in government. The International Masters Programme in Practising Management (IMPM), an international collaborative executive education program jointly offered by IIMB with INSEAD, McGill University, Lancaster University and a consortium of Japanese universities is globally recognised as a major innovation in executive education. - The N.S. Raghavan Centre for Entrepreneurial Learning (NSRCEL), located at IIMB is a catalyst for entrepreneurial activity. The centre is active in both teaching and research. Global Internet Ventures (GIV), a US-based $150 million fund, has provided NSRCEL with one-time grant for housing the incubator on the land provided by IIM Bangalore at its campus. The incubator, with state-of-the-art facility, helps entrepreneurs convert their business plan to a commercially viable product/service, with the capacity to house teams of 4-6 members each. - The two-year Post Graduate Programme in Management (PGP) is the flagship programme of the Institute. It is designed to enable students to acquire the skills and capabilities that will enable them to reach responsible Global positions in management.
