UK Young Music Entrepreneur Award 08

Clare Edwards is the UK Young Music Entrepreneur 2008.

Clare, with runners-up Stephen Godfroy and Adam Goodyer, is currently on a tour of the Indian music industry. Over two weeks they are visiting Bangalore and Mumbai, to meet their peers and senior industry figures.

Their visit has been informed by new research and a series of filmed interviews with Indian music entrepreneurs commissioned by the British Council. This information will shortly be available through these website. By registering as a music entrepreneur you will be told when it is available.

In early 2009 we'll be hosting information events, where you can hear more about the tour and the insights that the finalists have returned with.

UKYME highlights the contribution that entrepreneurs in the sector make to the development of the UK’s music scene, both through their championing of talented musicians and their understanding of the market. UKYME recognises that only a strong, vibrant and diverse UK industry can develop the local talent that the UK market demands.
